JISC TechDis, The University of Glasgow and The University of Cork are three of the partners in the ENABLE project which started in November 2011 and lasts three years.
A network of 16 European Partners and four third country partners will develop an EU wide platform to gather information and investigate how ICT is currently used to support lifelong learning by disabled adults and how it could best be used to overcome barriers and increase opportunities. The project is operating with the support of the Lifelong Learning programme of the European Union.
We are seeking examples of the use of ICT* to support disabled adults across the UK and Ireland. As many as possible of these examples will be collated and added into a comprehensive database for dissemination and use across Europe and beyond.
*Educational technology or assistive/access technology and/or technology designed specifically for disabled people or for the general population.
