This website, beta launched in August 2010, is the result of months of work aimed at improving the delivery of revised content to users in various sectors in a more intuitive and user-friendly way. JISC TechDis relies heavily upon its website, not only as an important communication channel, but also to provide access to expert advice and guidance on inclusion and technology and to a wealth of publications and resources.

The site, which will grow and develop over time, has undergone extensive end user testing and updates are constantly being incorporated as part of a programme of continuous improvement and to ensure it meets stringent accessibility criteria, evidenced by a set of new, built-in accessibility tools.

Another key feature of the JISC TechDis site is the enhanced search capability, including a faceted, client-focused search function, to enable users to quickly drill down to the wealth of rich content and resources that the Service has built up over many years.

The website radically improves the accessibility of advice and resources by freshening and strengthening the JISC TechDis web presence. At the same time it incorporates new site content that, integrated with other aspects of Service delivery, will help it meet the needs of its various stakeholders in a more efficient and cost effective way.
